Whoever coined the expression, “the bigger, the better” was not really kidding—and it seems that the developers behind the Four Seasons Place firmly believe in this concept. The Four Seasons Place is going to be the second-tallest building after the Petronas Twin Towers, truly defining how sometimes—size truly does matter.

The Four Seasons Place towers over the KLCC district with its 65-storey building, located next to Malaysia’s cultural landmark, the Petronas Twin Towers. The tower is comprised of residential and commercial spaces, as well as a mall, and a hotel. The developers behind The Four Seasons Place are Singapore-based Ong Beng Seng, who partnered with the His Majesty the Sultan of Selangor and Tan Sri Syed Yusuf Tun Syed Nasir, who founded Venus Assets Sdn Bhd.

The Four Seasons Place is located at Jalan Ampang, and stands majestic beside The Petronas Towers. The land area used for development of the residential hotel is at 1.05 hectares. Venus Assets estimates its development value to be RM2.8 billion. This development is the pioneering “Four Seasons Place” in Southeast Asia – expect more to prop up in the region.

Sales for Four Seasons have been reportedly strong; according to an agent that KLCCcondominiums.com.my spoke to, the smaller units were selling at a much quicker rate.

What More…?

Truly, the KLCC district has another great addition to its already stellar list of properties that line the Kuala Lumpur skyline. Here is a lifestyle—hip, modern, and convenience are all rolled into one, and then presented in the most luxurious ways possible. In The Four Seasons Place’s case—bigger is definitely better, and its personalized service, hospitality, world-class amenities, and high-class facilities just make The Four Seasons Place a great investment, as well as a great home. Welcome to the good life. :)

We reckon that branded developments like the Four Seasons will herald a new age for KLCC real estate (see GoodPlace.my’s analysis here) – together with the launches of RuMa (on Jalan Kia Peng) and E&O Residences. With asking prices are moving upwards near RM3,000 PSF, this is not near anything else in the KLCC enclave. While the more bullish analysts estimate the prices to reach as high as RM5,000 PSF in the longer term (especially when benchmarked against similarly luxurious real estate enclaves in Hong Kong and Singapore), the launch prices for Four Seasons may well be beyond the reach of the casual KLCC real estate investor.

Note that the Four Seasons do not have a full view of the Petronas Twin Towers due to its location (which is ironic!) – get the agent to arrange for a viewing if you’re interested to get a unit here. Finally, also be aware that management fees are typically more expensive at branded residences such as this; Four Seasons reportedly charge up to RM1 per sq ft (check with your agent on this). The usual, off-the-mill KLCC condo is at about RM0.50 per sq ft.
